On July 3rd, 2014 Barton Morris will bringing a tradition to the Metro Detroit area. For years, attorneys have gathered around the country to recite the words written by our founding fathers, the Declaration of Independence. The event was created by a group of Criminal Defense attorneys in Texas with the hope of reminding all about the importance of the Declaration.
This year, Mr. Morris has taken the lead to organize this event for the Metro Detroit area. Members of the Criminal Defense community, law students, and the public, will come together on the sidewalk in front of the Spirit of Detroit Statue at 9 a.m. to read the Declaration of Independence in its entirety. We encourage anyone who is interested to join us on July 3rd to show our community that our faith in this country is founded upon the powerful words contained in the Declaration.
