What Not To Do If You Are Under Federal Criminal Investigation
If somebody is under criminal investigation, it is very important that they act accordingly. It’s very important that, first of all, they do not speak to federal law enforcement as much as they can. The faster they get to them the more likely someone is going to confess or make statements that are against their interests.
Instead, hire an attorney. Get somebody that is experienced in federal criminal defense to evaluate the case. Also, it’s important not to destroy any evidence. They could be then facing additional charges for obstruction of justice.
